The file holds 84,393 facilities statewide, and TCEQ says its tank datasets are current as of September 2nd, 2026. A registration says a tank system exists or existed. Closed landfills

TCEQ's historical closed landfill inventory holds 29 records for Ellis County, of 2,772 statewide. The file lists old, closed, unnumbered landfills that operated before permits were required, along with unauthorized landfills and miscellaneous illegal dumps and disposal sites. TCEQ publishes it as it was delivered to the councils of governments in the late 1990s and says it is not updated.
